After our nice refreshing 3 hour walk in the Kata Tjuta we came back for the main course, Uluru.
Uluru is the 2nd biggest monolith in the world, 348 meters tall and with a circumference of 9 km. The walk around it took us 3 hours and we're the quick ones ;)
But more importantly this rock is at the center of all the dreaming stories of the aborigenes around. It's a sacred place and therefore you are strongly encouraged not to climb it, altough for some reason you are allowed to.

Also there are entire parts of it that are fenced off and where no photographs should be taken since they are sacred either to the men or women of the Anangu tribes.
